Not sure where soap.com charges tax, but even in states where they charge tax this is a hell of a deal.
EDIT: Note that the Groupon can't be used until 10/2 so there is some risk the protein price changes by then (could go down too). Still a good deal unless the price spikes considerably between now and Sat.
